CP Sulphur train (#9002 SD40-2F, #5977 SD40-2, #5959 SD40-2) westbound just above Golden, Mile 34.1 Mountain Subdivision. This is the view from the City of Golden Campground. (August 14, 1996)

The train has been following the spectacular Kicking Horse Canyon from the Continental Divide near the town of Lake Louise. The Kicking Horse River flows into the Columbia River about a mile from here which the track follows north to the start of the climb to Roger's Pass.
